I also see the manuals about DCC Concepts Cobalt IP Digital, the possible connection of the motor to signals, but am not quite clear in my mind about the variables and various physical connections and how they would then relate to iTrain, or how iTrain can control them. However if the board controls them, where and how does iTrain come into play? Some of these boards even stop a train at the point the signal turns RED, by changing the DCC current to DC. I have seen signals along the line automatically controlled but by means of block control boards and IR sensors. Is it because you create an item with a separate DCC address for each device on the track, in iTrain?įor example, 3 aspect signals or 2 aspect ground signals, does each aspect get a separate address? How does the physical wiring work in connection with the turnouts? How about signals that are not associated with turnouts, but just placed along a main line? My question is how iTrain recognises all the devices on the track. I also looked into iTrain Software and have experimented with an evaluation copy.
